What are your turnaround times?
Our approximate turnaround times are as follows:

Will you keep my material confidential?
EyeEdit shall keep the Work confidential and not use it for personal gain or promotion without written consent of the Client. No one will learn from us that you have used our editing services. You can be certain we will never sell your name and address to any organization for any purpose at any price.
How do I submit files to EyeEdit for service?
We accept documents in the following formats:
- Microsoft Word Files (*.doc or .docx) (our preference)
- Rich Text Files (*.rtf).
- Portable Document Files (*.PDF)
- Microsoft Excel Files (*.xls or .xlsx)
- Microsoft PowerPoint Files (*.ppt or .pptx)
- WordPerfect
- Rich text, text
We accept submissions as e-mail attachments or via postal mail on jump drive or CD-Rom.
When you submit work to us, please:
- double space your work;
- use 8.5 x 11 paper (unless the project requires an alternate paper size);
- use 1 inch margins (unless the project requires other sizing);
- use a 12-point readable font such as Times New Roman, Arial, or Courier;
- number your pages; and
- spell-check your work before sending.
Depending on the project, we may require you to send a hard copy of your document to us for editing. For proofreading, the document must be submitted in layout review format (.pdf, .doc, or in hard copy galley form). Galleys must be sent via snail mail.
What are the terms of the estimate or sample edit?
We reserve the right to decline to assess a document, or give an estimate without explanation.
Do you edit electronically or on hard copy?
EyeEdit clients may opt for us to edit either electronically or on hard copy.
What Styles are the EyeEdit editors familiar with?
We practice standard writing styles, which include, but are not limited to: APA, Chicago, CSE, or MLA.
If I decide to work with EyeEdit, what are the first steps?
First, we will send you a service agreement to review, sign, and return along with payment for the portion of the estimate specified in the service agreement. Once we receive your agreement and deposit, we will schedule your project. We will not deposit your check until we are ready to begin work on your project. Please note that we cannot schedule a project or begin work without an agreement and a retainer unless other arrangements are mutually agreed upon in advance. Are jobs available at EyeEdit?
Yes. To apply for a job as an editor or proofreader with EyeEdit, please use our contact tab to send us a self description that accurately describes your editing abilities and introduces you to us.
